Enter the Eglise Notre Dame, dating back to between the 12th and 15th centuries, and allow yourself to be amazed at its 13th century bell tower and porch which houses 5 bells and a large 17th century organ. The church contains a sculpted 12th century font and consists of several chapels dedicated to various saints from the Early Middles Ages (including St Jean Baptiste) as well as those dedicated to Saint Perpetua, the patron saint of Vierzon. Don’t forget to view the pulpit and ornate pew from the 18th century, the 1604 representation of St Jean Baptiste by painter Jean Boucher from Bourges, and finally the stained glass window from the 15th century which depicts the Crucifixion of Christ.
